Carte de visite portrait of an unknown man by John Beckett
Bibliography
The most important book for the study of Scarborough’s photographers is without a doubt by Anne and Paul Bayliss and we are indebted to their work in our research. We have also extensively used the internet which was not available to the Bayliss’s when they did their work. The British Newspaper Archive and eBay are probably the best for finding information.
The other books, articles and websites that we have used are listed here. We are sorry if any of the links don’t work, please let us know and we will endeavour to fix the links.
