Fred. Foxton (b. c.1870?)

The Census and directory information for Foxton is contradictory and unclear. Research by Anne and Paul Bayliss (unpublished) suggests that John Frederick Foxton was born in Driffield in c.1870 and was living in Scarborough with his parents and sisters by 1891. His father was cab proprietor and John Frederick was a photographic assistant. They also list a photograph of the Rotunda dated 1898. He then begins to appear in directories from 1901 through to 1913 in Barwick Street.
