Scarborough Stereoscopic Company
Stereographs became popular in early in the history of photography. During the late 1850s they were produced in large numbers and collected by the well off for the next 40 or so years. The Scarborough Stereoscopic Company was one of the companies that was based at 20 Newborough. Little is known about the company, but the address was the home of John Beckett from 1851-1868, his partner between 1863 and 1866 was George Willis. Willis was the other producer of Stereographs in Scarborough at this time, so maybe the company was related to one or both of them.
