Thomas Harrison (b.1857->1921)

Thomas Harrison was born in York (or Stamford Bridge). By the age of 24 he was working as a photographer with his younger brother Robert Harrison (b.1859) in Great Driffield. It is possible that the two brothers learnt their photography from their father George (1830-1886) who operated his business from a studio in Eastborough in Scarborough. At some point in the 1880s he with Robert return to Scarborough. The two brothers operate together occasionally but mostly have their own studios.

Thomas’s first wife, Catherine (1850-1898) was born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. When she dies she was buried in the same grave as Thomas’s father George. In 1901 Thomas was recorded in Nafferton near Driffield. His second wife, Matilda (1861-1909) was buried in the same grave.
